Voluntary work

In the summer, people from all over the world gather at the Viking village to work together. Most of the people you will meet are members of the Storholmen Viking Association, while others are skilled craftsmen and craftswomen who have found their way to us.

Storholmen also collaborates with the Swedish branch of the international peace organization Service Civil International (SCI). Founded after World War I, SCI has worked ever since for a society based on solidarity, non-violence, and mutual understanding. SCI is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization independent of religion and party politics.
