Children’s Craft Club at Storholmen Historical Crafts Camp
Creativity, Traditional Crafts and Discovery for Children
When adults take part in Historical Crafts Camp at Storholmen, we usually offer a craft club for accompanying children. Here, children can explore the world of traditional crafts, experiment with different materials and create things with their hands in our historical setting.
Discover the Joy of Making
Together with craft instructors, children can try different crafts and explore their own ideas. Activities may include wood carving, rope making and other creative projects. Craft sessions are mixed with games and opportunities to explore the Viking Village. If the weather is warm, there may even be time for a swim in the lake.
No previous experience is needed. Curiosity, creativity and the willingness to try something new are what matter most!
Part of Historical Crafts Camp
The Children’s Craft Club is offered alongside Historical Crafts Camp and is intended for children accompanying adults who are attending the camp’s courses.
This gives both children and adults the opportunity to explore traditional crafts and history in their own way, while enjoying a shared experience at Storholmen.
Practical Information
The Children’s Craft Club takes place in connection with Historical Crafts Camp. Information about dates, age groups, registration and practical arrangements will be published as part of each year’s programme.
For more information about the camp, please visit our Historical Crafts Camp page.
We look forward to welcoming young makers to Storholmen!
