Activities for All Ages

Step into the everyday life of the Vikings with hands-on activities and traditional crafts. Try blacksmithing, spin wool into yarn, create your own glass bead, or weave a basket. You can even bake flatbread over an open fire and learn the ancient art of rune writing.

Listen for the sound of the horn—it signals something special! Join Viking games, set out on a boat trip, enjoy prehistoric music, attend engaging lectures, or gather around for a storyteller’s tale.

Nestled along the scenic shores of Lake Erken, the Viking Village is surrounded by authentic traces of the Viking Age. Several reconstructed buildings, including a magnificent longhouse, bring history to life in an immersive open-air museum setting.

Just beside the museum, you’ll find a fascinating Viking Age burial ground with 165 ancient graves, a beautiful nature reserve with majestic oak trees, and a family-friendly sandy beach—perfect for exploration and relaxation.
