Travelling description

The Viking village is situated 80 kilmetres north of Stockholm
The village is located in the small community of Svanberga just outside Norrtälje.
From Stockholm you travel through the town of Norrtälje,
continue on road 76 until you see a "runestone" on the left side of the road (if you are heading from Norrtälje).  There is a sign "Vikingaby".  Turn left by the "runestone".

Bus from Stockholm and Uppsala
The bus traffic is frequent, both on weekends and workdays. From Stockholm take bus 676 from Tekniska Högskolan to Norrtälje. The bus trip takes one hour.  From Uppsala, take the bus 809 to Norrtälje. The bus trip takes one hour and twenty minutes.

Bus from Norrtälje to the Vikingvillage
From Norrtälje Busstation, take bus 636, 637 or 641 to Svanberga. The busstop is "Svanberga Affär". The bus trip takes about ten minutes frpom Norrtälje.
