Activities on Storholmen
The Vikingvillage Storholmen arranges many different activities. Handicrafts, music, lectures, story-telling, guided tours, viking feasts and activities for children, to name some.
Summer activities 2012: 9 July - 3 august, 12.00-15.00
While the village is open during the summer, there are somewhere around 30-70 Vikings living there; men, women and children. The houses and tents that you will see are actually where these people live. This close bond gives the village an atmosphere that is found nowhere else; the feeling of a real community. So, come and see a real Viking Village that is lived in by real modern day Vikings. It is an experience that you will never forget.
Booked visits all year
Storholmen simmers with life even during the more subdued seasons of the year. The Viking Village provide guided tours and booked visits all year around. Primarily during autumn and spring schoolchildren and adolescents come to live Viking life for a day or two, where they may spend the night. Feasts and banquets are provided for groups all year round.
