Guided tours 6 and 7 June

You will be greeted by the chief or the housewife.  During the tour you will learn about the region during Viking Age, about archaeological excavations made, waterways, and Viking age settlements. You will also learn more about  life on the farmstead, and the journeys over the Baltic Sea to the east.

You can also pay a visit to the iron-age burial-ground
Next to the village there is a large burial ground beautifully situated in an old oak tree grove, with century-old oaks, at a walking distance from the Storholmen Viking Village. There are 166 graves in this burial site, ranging from the Early Iron Age, around 500 to 1000 AD. Ancient remains are visible to the naked eye and are very easy to discern as cows are grazing the grounds.  Nature comes to life during the springtime on the old burial site, now a nature reserve for several kinds of flowers and birds.
